MONDAY evenings — CHICKEN LEAGUE (6 ends). Draws at 5:45 and 7:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to play in this weekly competition. Curlers rotate positions each week, so even if you are a complete beginner, you will play lead, second, third, and skip in rotation – gaining invaluable experience about how the game is played. Coaching is often provided.
TUESDAY and THURSDAY evenings — WILLIAMSON SHIELD. Draws at 6:00 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Sections A & B on Tuesday evenings; Section C on THURSDAY evenings. This is a season-long Club Championship ladder, with TEAMS CHOSEN BY THE SKIP. Although some degree of curling experience is recommended, any member can organize a team of 4 and enter by contacting Ivo Duarte. One good way to introduce yourself to this competition is to sign up as a spare.

WEDNESDAY evenings — MIXED CURLING AND DINNER. Draw at 6:00 p.m. and dinner at 8:00 p.m. ANYONE can sign up, including members of the Ladies’ Branch. This is an excellent opportunity for couples to curl together. You will be teamed up with another couple. One team each week prepares the dinner for the entire group of about 30 curlers. The emphasis is on the social aspect of curling.
FRIDAY mornings — MASTERS INTERCLUB. ALL MEMBERS OVER 50. Competitions take place at RMCC and other curling clubs in the Montreal region, followed by a light lunch.
FRIDAY evenings — EXECUTIVE LEAGUE – 6:00 p.m. Open to all members. Students are eligible, subject to availability. This league originated as an outside curling league and about half the curlers are not members of RMCC. Many members enjoy the relaxed social atmosphere of this competition.
SATURDAY mornings — SPOONS and Clinics – 10:00 a.m. ANYONE can sign up during the preceding week. You can sign up on the bulletin board sheet or e-mail the office to add your name. Teams are made up on Saturday mornings from the people who sign up during that week. In the first month of the season, clinics will be held on selected Saturdays so that you can work on your skills with the help of an instructor. Curlers who show up spontaneously on Saturday can usually be accommodated.
